Barbara Brodnick  All MCCC members are encouraged to visit Barbara's web site.  She captures flowers like nobody else!  Her photos are remarkable!  They show character and the inner essence of flowers.  A simple quick viewing of her photos will alter your photos of flowers.  A longer study of her work will change your photography forever.

Michael Fatali - covers the Southwest USA with obvious passion.  In addition to his new gallery at The District, Fatali has recently opened a gallery in Palm Dessert, California. Fatali likes the fact his work can be thought of as a place to seek peace. "I like the thought of my gallery being a refuge. There is a lot of chaos in this concrete kingdom; every aspect of this environment, both audibly and visually, is removed from nature" Fatali says. The photographer uses a 100-year-old box camera that weighs about 100 pounds. He captures only natural light in his images and uses no filters or artificial enhancements. "Every image I've taken has involved a lot of work. Getting to know the area I want to file, I walk with it, study it," Fatali says. Fatali was recently featured in Terry Hope's book "The World's Top Photographers and the Stories Behind Their Greatest Images." One of Fatali's images graced the cover. "It meant a lot to me because many of the photographers included in the book were ones I had admired since I was a kid," Fatali says. "To be in a book with them was amazing. I don't know if I deserve to be in the class with masters like Art Wolfe, Galen Rowell and Charlie Waite.

Larry Ulrich the king of stock photography!  Larry Ulrich began his career in photography selling at street fairs and craft shows throughout the West Coast. When he discovered that publishers would buy his images for books and calendars, he quit lugging around prints and frames to shoot stock images fulltime. Teamwork is essential to Larry's photography. His wife Donna travels along as a second set of eyes and chief field critic. They have been making a living with a camera since 1972, often traveling 200 days a year together. Larry and Donna's most recent books include Wildflowers of California, Wildflowers of the Plateau and Canyon Country, Wildflowers of the Pacific Northwest and Beyond the Golden Gate: California's North Coast from Companion Press, and Big Sur to Big Basin: California's Dramatic Central Coast from Chronicle Books.

Ethan Meleg is a professional nature photographer from Ontario, Canada. He specializes in photos of outdoor recreation, landscapes, birds and wildlife.

Ethan grew up near Point Pelee National Park, a world-famous birding site in southern Ontario. The park inspired his love of nature, and he often skipped classes to chase songbirds during spring and fall migrations. With an in-depth knowledge of nature, Ethan has led bird and nature tours for fifteen years and is a member of the champion Kowa 'Canadian' Birding Team. In between watching birds and taking photos, he miraculously completed a bachelors degree in Environment and Resource Studies at Trent University.

Ethan is a self-taught photographer. His photos have been published all over the world in books, calendars, brochures, magazines and corporate ads. Credits include: National Geographic books, Ranger Rick books, Forbes Magazine, Canadian Geographic, Wyman Calendars, Lonely Planet books, Cottage Life, Birder's World, Birding, Birdwatch, Wildbird, Living Bird Quarterly, Birder's Journal, National Wildlife, Nature Canada, ON Nature, Canoe & Kayak and many more. At only 33 years of age, Ethan is already established as one of Canada's leading nature photographers.

Ethan lives by the shore of Georgian Bay on the rugged Niagara Escarpment. His great passion in life is exploring the natural world with his camera, whether on distant travels or in his own backyard.

Sandhill Cranes in Michigan -- n 1931, there were only 17 pairs of sandhill cranes left in the Lower Peninsula. Today, biologists believe there are more than 8,000 pairs. The cranes are getting ready to migrate by gathering at sanctuaries and other spots in Michigan. The season peaks around Halloween. Evening is the time to see them gather after spending the day dispersed gathering food. Viewers can see 2,000 to 4,000 at peak times. And it is FREE!
