MCCC competitions for 2005-6 will
distinguish between "By Maker" and "Commercial". GDCCC no longer makes
this distinction. If your prints are entered in GDCCC competitions,
the GDCCC rules will prevail.

Monochrome (do-it-yourself) Prints -
printed by the photographer using any available process; prints that are B&W
with shades of gray and up to 1 additional color; prints that
are "toned" (1 color) with up to one additional color; hand colored with only 1
color; digital prints including manipulation.

All divisions include digital images. A total of 4 prints may be entered in
each of the three divisions. The four may be split 2/2 (general/assignment) or
3/1 (general/assignment). Any size image up to 16x20 inches is acceptable. All
prints must be mounted on 16 x20 inch mount boards. All prints must be on
photographic paper.
The back of the mount board should contain the title at the top
middle. A Motor City Camera Club sticker (obtained from the Print
Director) must be placed on the upper left--hand corner containing the following
information:
Assignment or General
Color, B&W, or Commercial
Size of print: 8x10, 11x14,or 16x20
Maker's name
Beginner or Advanced
Unlike slides, there are no restrictions on entering Nature subjects in
General print competitions. They may also be entered in Assignment print
competitions if they meet the requirements of the assignment.
After
judging and awarding, the prints are then eligible for further competitions
in the GDCCC monthly inter-club competitions. In this case the print
director may hold prints from club competitions for future use in these
council competitions.
All prints must be submitted for competition by 7:45 the evening of the
competition.
