The Motor City Camera Club (MCCC) resides in Bloomfield Township, MI - a northern suburb of Detroit. We meet on the 1st Monday (except holidays) from September through May, competing amongst ourselves with Prints and Digital Projected images. Motor City Camera Club is a member of the Greater Detroit Camera Club Council (GDCCC) and also competes against 10 other GDCCC member clubs.
Our focus is on being a "teaching club" where monthly competitions are held where images are critiqued. Open discussion occurs where the photographer explains where and how they shot the image, processing approaches, and what kind of equipment they used to capture the photograph.
Throughout the year the club engages in photo field trips, classes, and workshops. We believe you will find our group of photographers fun, supportive, and diverse. Join us to learn, create and share the various aspects of photography. It can be a hobby, or a life-long learning quest - whatever your story is. We have something for everyone and members can be as involved as their desire and time permits.
